Providers access the Availity Web Portal (which is a multi-payer portal – also known as “Availity”) to get to ICR for Authorizations. ICR allows a user to view the status of a Utilization Management authorization request even if it was not submitted via ICR. ICR’s Authorization Inquiry (or Authorization Inquiry) function allows a user to search for an authorization – even if it was submitted via phone or fax. The Authorization information and current status, as well as any related letters are available in ICR.
