Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia knows that the timeliness of your medical appointment is important to you. The chart below indicates the maximum time you should have to wait for an appointment with a primary care physician or an obstetrics/gynecology specialist. These time frames are consistent with regulatory and industry standards. We encourage our physicians to exceed these standards and regularly monitor their compliance. If you experience problems getting an appointment, or if you wait more than 15 minutes in the office beyond your scheduled appointment time without getting an explanation, call the number on the back of your member ID card. We’ll investigate and take appropriate action. BCBSGa wants to help ensure that you receive access to quality care when you need it.
