ProviderAccess Upcoming Changes - Effective mid-October 2011  
To prepare for HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) 5010 compliance, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia will implement necessary changes to ProviderAccess, our secure website, effective October 15, 2011. Some web pages and screens - such as eligibility and benefits, claims status inquiry and referral and pre-authorization requests - will have a new look and search features to access claim and eligibility information. Registered ProviderAccess users will receive the Network eUpdate in October, which will illustrate the changes to be implemented.
